Slick Tricks
This is an entry for the Bigmode Game Jam 2026, made by me, Aimless Studios and my lovely wife, Dilosh Designs
We chose two definitions for the theme "slick" (Source: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/slick):
- "operating or performing skilfully and effectively, without problems and without seeming to need effort"
- "smooth, wet and slippery (= difficult to move on without sliding)"
Controls:
- A/Left: move left
- D/Right: move right
- W/Up: Jump
- S/Down: Stomp
- Space: do a random trick
- ESC: Pause
Features:
- Slick beats
- One level with a soundtrack of 2:45
- Pick ups (extra score, extra HP, double jump, invincibility)
- Tricks (frontflip and backflip) which make you invulnerable during the performance
- Upgrades (+HP, pick up spawn chance, more points per trick, more tricks per round, lower cooldown for tricks)
- Due to time constraits, we weren't able to polish the game enough regarding animations, sound effects and bug fixing, but we hope you like it :)
Description:
In Slick Tricks, you control "Slick Rick, the Trickster", an ice cube with one mission: survive and do as many tricks as you can
Different pick ups spawn that will help you during a round
Buy upgrades to survive even longer and make sure not to die until the end of the song (two minutes, 45 seconds)
